The Blue Carbuncle: An Irregular Holiday

Canon tale: BLUE
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mundungus42
Rating: General
Warnings: Damnable sentiment.
A/N: Inspired by optional prompt 1: BLUE is set right after Christmas. How did our boys spend their holiday?

Mrs. Hudson's pudding was met with eyes like saucers, though laughter rang through the room when Cooper found the sixpence. Miss Long found the wishbone, her brother the thimble, and Master Turner the anchor.

When they were warm, full, and wrapped in new coats, Holmes placed a bag in the eldest's hand.

“Happy Christmas, Wiggins.”

“You too, sir.”

Adorable! I love the image of the kids around Mrs Hudson's table, warm and happy and safe and having a lovely Christmas dinner. :)

I am perfectly content to pretend that he did, and that their feet will be warm and dry for the year to come. :)
