The Speckled Band: Words from the Ocelot

Canon Story: The Speckled Band

Once again, I am forced to come to the rescue of a snake’s reputation.  It did not normally have a bad temper, Mr Holmes, but how would you feel if someone attacked you with a cane?  I cannot see Dr Watson retaining his normal good humour if he were in that situation.  Consider first what your own response would be.

Words of wisdom, indeed! I'm sure if anyone sneaked up in the dark and attacked Watson or Holmes with a cane, it'd be the last thing they did.

Thank you, ocelot; your point is well made.

The snake was always just acting instinctively I suppose. I do wonder what happened to it after Roylott's death...

Quite right! Poor snake. Roylott mistreated all his animals.

Watson really needs the Ocelot to balance his stories about the Holmesian adventures and make the snake's (and other animals') point of view. A much needed Appendum to "The Speckled Band". *nods*

I cannot help now imagining a much more erotic, if not to say kinky, scenario with Holmes, Watson and a cane ... ;)
