Wonderful wording and play of words, really clever and beautiful. The name of Roylott itself does have a sinister sound to it, and the added "despicable" really sums up his character (at least as we see it from Watson's tale ;)).

Wow, thank you very much! I really appreciate that. I couldn't agree more about the sinister name (especially paired with "Grimesby")--it seems to make a statement all on its own. It's also intriguing both to read on the page and say out loud--at least I've always thought so--which made this a fun clerihew to write.

Well, we do only have Watson's POV of course, but what we do know is pretty damning! If Roylott had a charming side, or volunteered at the local orphan's home or what have you, we never heard about that. ;)
