A Fifteenth Century Holmes

For a historical mystery lover, there are several good stories in Murder Most Medieval; but the one I would bring to this comm's attention is 'The Simple Logic of It', by Margaret Frazer. The detective is solid; yet very much a fifteenth century Holmes.

She has written other Bishop Pecock stories, but this first short story is the only one I have yet read.

NO, no! I didn't mean that the shorts weren't; I really shouldn't post between school runs and dinner, honestly.

Just that a couple of the Joliffe novels, as much as I enjoyed them, were a bit political.

I do want to try the shorts, because I think school may have ruined an enjoyable reading experience for me, and perhaps something by a favorite author will be the thing.
