The Red Headed League: The Grand Gift of Silence

Canon Story: The Red Headed League
Title: The Grand Gift of Silence

Author's Notes: Based on the Granada show.

Watson had never been a man of many words, and Holmes seemed so curiously fond of his own voice that he never remarked on it. Yet the looks they exchanged during Jabez Wilson's story proved to Watson without a doubt that two people who were attuned to one another were capable of having entire conversations without ever speaking a word.

Yes, indeed ^_^ This part of REDH is such a delightful example of Holmes and Watson being on the same wavelength ^^

Holmes seemed so curiously fond of his own voice... I love that "curiously" ^^ I think I can hear Watson being ever so slightly arch there...

There were some lovely moments during that narrative and you have picked up on that nicely:-)

What a lovely glimpse into the inner workings of their friendship. Holmes and Watson really do complement each other, and and appreciate a lot of the same things, despite their well-documented differences. :)

My word, I love this episode of Granada to pieces. That silent conversation between Holmes and Watson and the following burst of laughing are my most beloved scenes ever.
Thank you so much for this lovely 60.
