What do I think of Mr Holmes?  He’s quick and darts around a lot.  He would find the scent, no doubt about it.  Dr Watson?  Not as quick, but really tenacious.  He would not give up until they found their quarry.  Couple them together and they’d be formidable.  If they were draghounds I would be happy to hunt with them.

Since they're not, Pompey will just have to drag them around instead. Humans just aren't nearly as useful. :)

Nor as quick - poor Pompey having to be held on a lead because otherwise two middle-aged London gentlemen can't keep up!
