Absolutely! ^^ It would be very surprising if Holmes suddenly started worrying about other people injuring the furniture ^__^ The story has obviously been written by someone who doesn't know Holmes well.

Must admit I noticed the phrase too and almost posted a 60 for it (but I couldn't get it quite right):

Exactly. He paid her handsomely, but still I think it would get a bit tiring, year after year, having to do major reconstruction.

If you don't object, I may use the first line of this in a fic. It might not see the light of day, and if it does, it might not be something you'd read, but if it does, know that I'll give proper attribution. Sort of a lazy Yank's vulture britpicking. That would be absolutely fine by me ^_^ I'm rather tickled you'd want to use the line. I can't promise that I'll read the fic if it appears (as I've said, I know my limits when it comes to fanfic) but I shall look out for it with interest.
