No, dear, I didn't live in a cellar when I was small; I lived in an upstairs room.

Shh. That one didn't hit us.

No, this cellar doesn't scare me.

What scares me? Georgia, when I took your mother there to meet my father's family. We came home as soon as we could. Hitler's easier to fight.

There. All clear.

And so the difficulties continue down the generations.

Thank you for this well thought and well written 60. Though if Britain had lost the family would have ended in a concentration camp.

Yeah Doyle's story ends on a happy note, but of course, much trouble lies ahead.

What an interesting, interesting idea to set your 60 so far into the future. When I think of Lucy's future, I always think of her as a young woman. But that little girl would perhaps have lived into the 1960s.

What scares me? Georgia, when I took your mother there to meet my father's family. We came home as soon as we could. Hitler's easier to fight. Britain certainly wasn't (and isn't) perfect but I guess Mrs. Munro probably made the best choice, bringing her daughter over all those years ago.

Oh, I'm glad that you had Lucy get to meet her paternal family; I ultimately didn't do YELL because reasons, but I'd been considering something along those lines myself.

And I of course love all the other hints about her life to date, especially-and-including the reference to the girl's mother. :-D
