The Greek Interpreter: Blood

Title: Blood
Author: [livejournal.com profile] godsdaisiechain
Canon: The Greek Interpreter
Rating: G
Notes: Sophia does come see Harold because she's lonely.

Blood, blood, and more blood.  Sophia felt as if she could never wash it from her hands, her mind, her heart.  She did her duty by Paul, and killed the man she once loved, but her feminine perception, as Sherlock Holmes called it, told her that life would never be the same again.

Next time, she would choose more wisely.

I really like the line: Sophia felt as if she could never wash it from her hands, her mind, her heart.

I can never completely condone Miss Kratides' actions but I do always hope that she finds some kind of peace in her life.

Hope you're enjoying your travels.

Yeah, difficult to say what's going on with Sophia, but I doubt she'll walk away from any of it unscathed. Tragic figure.

Strains of Lady Macbeth perhaps?

I've always seen Sophia as more victim than a bearer-of-guilt, but oh, I can see her taking on that burden of guilt for herself, as people who get sucked in by abusers so often do.

Poor woman. Caught between love and family duty? Truly a Greek Tragedy.
