My friend’s face froze as he read the letter.
“Holmes?”
He looked up at me, stricken. “Sir Henry is suing us for gross neglect and client endangerment.”
I looked at him. “’Us’? You’re on your own, old man.”

And Holmes really has it coming this time. Endangering Watson is one thing, must be a day ending in Y. But endangering a CLIENT without that client's full consent and knowledge? He's taking everything but that Persian slipper full of tobacco, old man.
