Ah. Perhaps angry about Holmes’ questioning of his daughter –

My friend’s face froze as he read the letter.

“Holmes?”

He looked up at me, stricken. “Sir Henry is suing us for gross neglect and client endangerment.”

I looked at him. “’Us’? You’re on your own, old man.”

This one's got the nice juicy tinge of murder and monsters to it that'll enthrall a judge and jury, though. And be fair, Holmes TOTALLY has it coming.

Keeping a trusted ally in the dark about his clever-clogs plans that wind up going south in a bad way? Yeah, Watson wouldn't symathise a BIT with Sir Henry.

And Holmes really has it coming this time. Endangering Watson is one thing, must be a day ending in Y. But endangering a CLIENT without that client's full consent and knowledge? He's taking everything but that Persian slipper full of tobacco, old man.

Turns out that Sir Henry isn't as forgiving of Holmes' penchant for dramatic endings as Watson is.
