Author’s Notes: Peter Steiler the younger and his friends are playing tag when a tall Englishman in black approaches them.

Peter had been warned by his father not to talk about the guests at the Englischer Hof, so he remains silent when the stranger asks if anyone had seen his two friends. The stranger says it is urgent and produces two coins and again asks for help. Daniel, his best friend, steps forward and offers to help anyway he can.

Nice pick up on 'Peter Steiler the elder' - if Watson refers to him that way, there must be a younger. And nice pick up on The young Swiss had gone too. He had probably been in the pay of Moriarty... Perhaps 'in the pay' but still innocent of any wrongdoing. I hadn't considered that possibility before.

Maybe there was a Peter Steiler the wiser or something like that. The younger fits better into my story. :)
I think having Moriarty trick the child fits well into his character since he is a criminal mastermind.
