A Study in Scarlet: Jefferson Hope's Horse

Canon Story: A Study in Scarlet
Title: Jefferson Hope's Horse (part of the Ocelot Tales)

It’s not every cab horse that gets to be driven by a detective inspector.  For some reason my regular driver was riding inside, perhaps he wasn’t well, there was a doctor with him.  But the inspector told me it was to do with the tall thin gentleman, who was quite a clever chap, although his methods were a bit strange.

What an unusual day/night for a cab horse indeed! And it's very good of the detective inspector to explain things to his four-legged fellow. Communication is everything.

Excellent! I was wondering which animal perspective you'd choose this week. There were several options. Nicely done. Wonder if this cab horse will meet up with Holmes again?

You never know...

Love it.

Is this Lestrade's opinion of Holmes which he related to the horse, or did the horse draw that conclusion on his own?

One wonders what the horse thought about the quality of the stranger's driving. Also what he did whilst Hope was off killing Drebber. I really do love this series!

I hope the horse has a more successful (and longer) tenure with his next master. Fun perspective!

Hee! Hurrah for the horse!

The best part of this to me is that even a horse notices that the "tall thin gentleman" is "a bit strange". Made me laugh!

I love the way you come up with these every week! A London cab horse, no doubt, has a lot of thoughts about all the things it sees. A strange tall thin gentleman, indeed! :-)

Hee, well done! Love the idea of Lestrade talking, more to himself, but the horse being all, "Ah, okay, I see." :D

Adorable! One gets the feeling Lestrade's glad to have the horse to talk to when Holmes is around. Finally, someone who doesn't talk back.
