The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter: Commonalities

Author: [livejournal.com profile] methylviolet10b
Rating: PG
Character(s): Leslie Armstrong, Sherlock Holmes, Doctor John Watson
Summary: Holmes sees the potential for a Moriarty-like genius in his foe, but he's another kind of man altogether.
Warnings: Spoilers for MISS.
Word Count: 60
Author's Notes: 60 words of my own inspired by one of the canon stories.
Disclaimer: I don't own them.

MISS – Commonalities
Leslie Armstrong is not cast in the Moriarty mould. But there are unmistakable similarities between him and another.

Both are men of intelligence, nerve, and action, loyal and kind beyond reason, possessors of a dry sense of humor, and are unafraid to confront me.

Not a Moriarty, no, but an even rarer type: Staunton has a Watson watching over him.

The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter: Pompey's Opinion

Canon Story: The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter
Title: Pompey's Opinion (The Return of The Ocelot Tales)

What do I think of Mr Holmes?  He’s quick and darts around a lot.  He would find the scent, no doubt about it.  Dr Watson?  Not as quick, but really tenacious.  He would not give up until they found their quarry.  Couple them together and they’d be formidable.  If they were draghounds I would be happy to hunt with them.
