Canon Story: The Second Stain
Title: Wonderful
Author:

Rating: G
Warnings: none
Author's Notes: At the end of the story, Watson describes the Prime Minister’s eyes as “wonderful”. My notes read: “WTF?” Mocking thus ensued.
“Holmes, you are staring at me.”
“I am conducting an experiment.”
“Do elaborate.”
“Very well; describe my eyes.”
“Piercing? Unblinking? Studious?”
“Not…wonderful?”
“You looked at my notes again.”
“Of course! I must ensure their accuracy.”
“Then should publication ever become a possibility, I shall certainly mention your fetching smile.”
“Best not, Watson. You could make the Prime Minister quite jealous.”

Title: Analysis
Author:

Rating: PG
Warnings: Crack
Author's Notes: In which I take handwriting analysis way too seriously. It’s really hard to mimic handwriting that doesn’t conform with your own; I had to rewrite the list about five times. And yeah, this is more BBC Sherlock than ACD.

“John. We should have sex. Immediately.”
John blinked and considered.
“Yeah, all right.”

Canon Story: The Scandal in Bohemia
Title: Heartbeat
Author:
azriona
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Author's Notes: This started out one thing and ended up somewhere very different. I don’t think I wrote this as much as it wrote me.
The door echoed out the heartbeat of my days. Slams marked lonesome homecomings. Knocks were adventures in the making. Wiggins’ quick rat-a-tat-tat, Lestrade’s fist banging an impatient one-two-three, or the shy and uncertain tock-tock of a client.
Every sound brought me hope, frustration, and ultimately boredom. Only the tap of his step on the stair, coming home, brought me joy.

The handwriting! Oh, that's fabulous, so clever!
And then you round it out on an impossibly touching note. Wonderful.

Date: 2012-10-21 04:51 am (UTC)Yeah, the "wonderful" kind of threw me, particularly since there hadn't been much description of the Prime Minister beforehand, and then all of a sudden he's this fantastic guy, life of the party, and who describes anyone's eyes as "wonderful"? Unless you're half in love with them! It was very strange.

And the third one, that one is powerful to me. It feels so true.
Terrific work all around!

Date: 2012-11-02 04:16 am (UTC)I had so much fun trying to get the handwriting right - I had to rewrite the thing three or four times, because I kept messing up letters. And I'm sure it doesn't look a THING like how John or Sherlock would write (for one thing, too girly!).
And I'm glad you liked the third one, about Holmes listening for Watson's step on the staircase. It was hard to get the tone of that one right, and I wasn't entirely sure I had pulled it off. :)
