Author's Note: Watson usually doesn't resist following Holmes into whatever danger, legal or not, but he doesn't jump excitedly at this particular prospect. I had a theory why. The doctor's a very grounded man, perhaps he'd prefer to stay that way literally as well. :)

If he read my hesitation, I hope he read it correctly. Arrest was not what I feared in his proposal to rescue the governess. The acrobatic concept of traipsing across an outhouse rooftop below the midnight clouds and high above the rocky ground was what stalled me. But if Holmes would risk the danger, he would not risk it alone.
