I was so afraid when Cairns fought back.  Mr Holmes is used to receiving the odd blow, but my poor inspector.  Naturally he went to the aid of Mr Holmes, but I was sure he would receive a hit in the face and I could not have borne it if Cairns had drawn blood.  Fortunately, Doctor Watson had his revolver.

Summary:  Holmes considers Norway.
Warnings:  Almost no references for BLAC. References to EMPT, including one of Holmes' aliases during the hiatus. My continued puzzlement around the mystery of Norway.

"If you want me for the trial, my address and that of Watson will be somewhere in Norway -- I'll send particulars later."

As Sigerson, I explored many lands. I gained renown, but more importantly, I came to a number of internal realizations.

Upon my return to London, I promised my Watson – and myself – that I would give him a fuller account of my years away, my travels, my discoveries.

I will keep this promise in the kingdom of endless light and darkness.

Under the alias Sigerson, I explored many far-flung regions and took credit for numerable discoveries. I gained renown, but more importantly, I came to a number of internal realizations. One cannot explore without learning many things about one’s self as well as one’s surroundings.

Upon my return to London, I promised my Watson – and myself – that I would give him a fuller account of my years away. What I did. What I learned. What kept me from his side.
