I am a scientist; I have worked with many toxic chemicals. Of course there is danger, but if I take adequate precautions, I should avoid the worst of the hazards. How many times have I studied poisons before? And yet I still breathe.

It is only an experiment. What could possibly go wrong?

Holmes as a scientist is one of my all-time favorite things. The hubris is such a perfect touch.
