Rating: PG
Character(s): Sherlock Holmes, John Watson
Summary: Holmes forgets to heed his own words.
Warnings: Mild spoilers for the first chapter of SIGN.
Word Count: 60.
Author's Notes: 60 words of my own inspired by one of the canon stories. I did a full set of twelve 60s (one for each chapter) the last time we did SIGN, so this time, I kept it short and simple.
Disclaimer: I don't own them.

SIGN, Part 1: Accidental Damage

I was irked by Watson’s lecture. But even nettled, I knew that he meant well.

I have no such excuse for my callous, blunt analysis of Watson’s watch. I did not mean ill, but neither did I mean well. I simply recited the facts as they appeared to me. Too late, I remembered that some facts ought to be suppressed.

Short, simple, and utterly classic.

Ohh, nice work using the text there. Now that somewhat inexplicable line makes so much more sense, knowing more of what he meant. Impressive!

Well, no, it's not what he probably meant, but when has that stopped us? ;) It's fiction, we can take from it what we like.
