Author's Notes: Sorry for being very sparse. Needed something light. I'm not quite sure if they really took a train ("small wayside station"?), but that was the only way I could make sense of the canon story.


“Why, Miss Moriarty! I never-“
“Pardon?”
Only at the sound of the voice did Watson realise that the figure in their train compartment was indeed not Jane in her usual male attire, but an actual man. Holmes chuckled.
“Mr William Moriarty, I suppose? This is Doctor John Watson, and my name is Sherlock Holmes.”
“Indeed! My sister wrote about you!”
