Canon Story: The Adventure of the Devil's Foot
Title: For every poison there is an antidote
Author: [livejournal.com profile] vaysh
Rating: G
Words: 60
Author's Notes: Title taken from this quote: »When one considers the structure of the universe, it is obvious that for every poison there is an antidote ... for every force there is an opposite, the cosmic ebb and flow of tides, of darkness and light ... of truth and deception.« Paul John Myburgh, The Bushman Winter Has Come

Postscript:

Some things rather suggest themselves to a doctor than to a detective. Thus I consulted with Dr. Sterndale once more before he left for Africa. His answer I at once passed on to the Helston Asylum physician. Owen, the younger of the Tregennis brothers, could be released two months after the tragedy. For George all help came too late.

What a lovely postscript. It's nice to think that some good came in the end.

That's a great postscript. What a good (and characteristic) thought of Watson's.

Thanks for definitely improving the canon story for me.

I love your portrait of Watson's compassion - the case is over but he still wants to do what he can for the surviving brothers.
