Postscript:

Some things rather suggest themselves to a doctor than to a detective. Thus I consulted with Dr. Sterndale once more before he left for Africa. His answer I at once passed on to the Helston Asylum physician. Owen, the younger of the Tregennis brothers, could be released two months after the tragedy. For George all help came too late.

I love your portrait of Watson's compassion - the case is over but he still wants to do what he can for the surviving brothers.

Thank you. I am glad I could improve on the canon story for you – to my mind, too, there was some closure missing for the brothers. That last glimpse of horror into the carriage taking them to Helston was quite shocking.
