This really is quite lovely. I don't know if you intended it, but something about this makes me think of entries in Holme'Holmes's index, and Sherlock letting sentiment and memory invade his world of pure facts. Really, a lovely set of observations on their adventure.

Thank you ^_^ Oh, yes - what a sweet connection ^^ I hadn't thought about Holmes' index but I definitely see what you mean. I think Holmes never saw Watson purely as a "conductor of light" to help him solve his cases - he enjoyed having a companion and friend for his adventures.
