Merryweather's name was practically screaming for a clerihew. :) And yes, after the evening's adventure I very much doubt he is missing his game of whist. (And I learned a new meaning of 'rubber'.)

I agree with vaysh11, there's just something about the name Merryweather that screams out for a clerihew. This was a nice encapsulation of his character, and quite a lot of fun to read.

Thanks ^_^ I was perhaps stretching things by referring to the bank as "her". But as The Bank of England is called "the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street" I thought I could get away with it ^^ And it makes for such a good rhyme ^^"

Thank you ^_^ In the context of the original story, "Merryweather" comes across as rather a prissy name and suits the director well I think ^^
