Author's Notes: Lurker, first-time poster! I've been dazzled by the displays of wit and rhyme in the clerihews here for weeks and I was finally inspired to try my hand. Be gentle. It's my first time. :)
Irene Adler, The Woman
Broke the "fair sex" ban.
She got Holmes's attention
And his frequent mention.

Date: 2014-07-14 08:24 pm (UTC)Thank you! Right in the first paragraph we learn that Holmes brings up the subject enough for Watson to know he has a clear preference for one term ("The Woman") over another. To me that suggests there were more than a few mentions after the fact.
And of course, he kept the picture... ;)
