Canon Story: The Mazarin Stone
Title: The Author
Author: thesmallhobbit
Rating: G

It is a well known fact that detective stories are better received when written by a man than a woman.  Which is why these recollections have been purportedly written by Dr John Watson.  It goes without saying the good doctor gave me permission to use his name, but we all knew who, in fact, was the author, Mr Holmes included.

I always thought that what with running his own practise AND assisting Holmes in all those cases, it seemed to bit of a stretch to imagine where Watson found the time to pen the stories and novels. ;)

And she would have been in a very good position to do it, too. In Mazrain, the description of Billy fits, as well.

... but we all knew who, in fact, was the author ...

No, we do not! ^^
And the only person who could bring it to light - the Great Detective himself - wisely decided to never reveal it. Yet another mystery ... ^^
