*sighs* Fair enough - Lestrade won't be using the spare bedroom, but surely it would still be a good idea. Then again, I suppose Holmes and Watson are unlikely to be having anyone to stay for a long period of time.
And there's surely a rather poignant story to be told there - Lestrade losing his wife, and his children living elsewhere.
