Title: Fortune in the Leaves
Canon Story: The Gloria Scott
Rating: Gen
Summary: Somewhere in West Bengal...

“So?”

The man sipped, nodded. “Bold, sharp. A superior flavour, sahib.” He eyed the liquid in the cup. “And handsome colour.”

“Thank you. I blended it myself.

“For export?”

“No, only house use. Let’s call it ‘Holmes.’”

The man frowned. “Homes?”

“No, Ho-l-mes. As my father once said, ‘Of all ghosts, the ghosts of our old lovers are the worst.’”

Awww. Sad yet romantic at the same time.

Trevor may need to send a parcel of this liquid gold to his old flame.

Oh, so poignant ^^" Wonderful use of the phrase from the canon story.

I always like to think that Holmes and Trevor parted with their affection for each other intact - it's simply that Trevor had to get away from the bad memories about his father.
