Canon Story: The Adventure of the Copper Beeches
Title: Art and the Artist

It stings when Holmes dismisses my writing as trivial. Were it up to him, the records of his cases would be nothing more than a dull iteration of the dry facts. Yet for all his cold logic and reasoning, he thinks of his work as art.

Holmes will never admit it, but every artist wishes for an exhibition. Even him.

Oh, wow, I adore this. I am always a sucker for a little punch at the end of these, and you've got a doozy. Very nice work!

So true. Holmes is constantly performing for Watson whether he acknowledges that fact or not. You've captured a facet of their relationship that is at the crux of why and how the two of them are friends; Holmes needs an audience and Watson can't get enough of the show. That's a hell of a lot of insight in 60 words. Really excellent!

Yes, Watson, you have both seen and observed. Nice work!
