Canon Story: The Gloria Scott
Title: First Opinion: The Bull Terrier (part of the Ocelot Tales)

A/N: This is my second time round and as some of you who have read my first set I occasionally use the viewpoint of an animal that was involved.  I decided therefore that as far as possible this time would be an exploration of Holmes' adventures as seen by some part of the animal kingdom.  The Ocelot is of course an OC.

Holmes was a strange fellow and his ankle had a decidedly strange taste.  That’s what attracted me to him, an interest in where he’d been; he didn’t have the same smells as the other students.  He wasn’t much like my master, except that both were solitary fellows, and they enjoyed each others company whilst they shot and fished in silence.

Bwahaha, beautiful! I love your take on this round, and I hope very much that you'll always find a creature worth interviewing for the next installment. ;) For now, let me hand the little fellow some salt.

I love it. And the theme! I imagine you may be forced to get pretty creative with some of them. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

Cute theme for the round! Some of these stories may be easier than others -- I'm looking forward to your creative solutions!

I love that Victor and Holmes hunt and fish together in silence. Holmes' friendships are unusual, but oddly devoted in their way.

This is a great idea! I'm looking forward to see how you continue this through the canon. I can well imagine that Victor's dog would be curious about this Holmes fellow and where he's been.

I converse with my dog on a regular basis. I tell him everything. Quite frankly if he learned to type he could probably take over my life. Fortunately he would probably just order me more running shoes and reload my starbucks gift card. He's good natured enough. But I never really considered the world as a whole from his perspective until I read the Bernie and Chet Mysteries by Spencer Quinn (very easy beach reads, not deep at all but adorkable for the pet perspective) and now I spend a lot of time contemplating how my dog feels about everything.

Which is a long paragraph to get to I love the animal point of view especially with the dog describing Holmes taste as strange.

Excellent. Delighted that you are continuing to speak up for the non humans involved in canon. Or those which really should have been involved...such as the ocelot:-)
