Canon Story: The "Gloria Scott"

Author's Notes: Trevor was the only man I knew, and that only through the accident of his bull terrier freezing on to my ankle one morning as I went down to chapel. [Also, hello! I'm a newb, and very pleased to be here. *waves*]

My deductive talents were even then considerable; but I knew very little of the soul of man, of the heights and depths it could achieve. Had I not been detained that morning on my way to chapel, I wonder – would ever I have learned? No flood or exodus or righteous battle ever harrowed me quite like Mr. Trevor's last testament.

I do like your interpretation of Holmes reflections on meeting Victor Trevor and his father. Very pleased to see another new person.

Well, I suppose Holmes would have had a different opinion of dogs, in any event.

He likes everything better than police officers.

Hello hello! :)

That is an interesting question, and I think that in some way Holmes would have found his way into the field of crime solving some way. It's not that removed a topic to begin with. How and when though, that is an intriguing question indeed.

Welcome welcome! We're really excited you've joined us here! I'm the mod, so if there's anything you need, just let me know. :)

Terrific work with your first 60. No flood or exodus or righteous battle ever harrowed me quite like Mr. Trevor's last testament. -- I love that. Holmes is usually portrayed as impenetrable, so I like the sense of vulnerability you've given him here. He can be affected, harrowed. Ah, that's just so good.
