Canon Story: The Resident Patient
Title:  Built On Sand
Author: [livejournal.com profile] hisietari
Rating: G
Notes: My second round of 60s will concentrate on the Moriarty family, which I've based on canon as far as possible, but tweaked a lot due to gaps in canon. You can find a family tree and some explanation in my journal, but please feel free to ask, too.
'Holmes' obviously refers to Mycroft, POV is Jane's once more.

---

I had been granted access to crime records quite early, and some years later, when my assaults on Holmes grew less frequent, they wouldn’t lock me up anymore either.

It was easy to guess the brain behind the bank robberies with Biddle and Hayward having been in my eldest brother’s college gang. They never reached the harbour. Holmes didn’t object.

Am I allowed to cheer Jane on?

Yes; I doubt she would be grateful...

You are giving her a life, a purpose and way more brothers than she really wanted:-)

I have really come to like Jane a lot! And I like how tiny tentacles of the Moriarty family story can reach out into this story. Clever.

Hm. I haven't seen the film either, and am glad to be advised to seek it out, but I'll just pop in to worship at Mark Gatiss' feet as I grow ever fonder of Mycroft in BBC 'verse.

Clever Jane! It neatly explains the end events of this tale too.

True! I can see the parallels. Moriarty and his convenient deaths by ocean accident! ha, ha :-)

Something like that! A watery grave at least :-) Kind of the family tradition...

Still intriguing, I must find some time to read a bit of the background of the Moriarty fam.

Yes - 60 words per week is quite the restriction...
