Canon Story: The Resident Patient
Title: The Brook Street Pigeon (part of The Ocelot Tales)

A/N: She is sitting on a windowsill, looking in.

This is the first time I’ve seen a man behave like this: bending down, picking things up over and over again.  He’s not eating them; he’s not a pigeon after all.  But there’s clearly a purpose in what he’s doing and he’s very methodical.  The others: like any male pigeon, standing round watching with a bemused expression on their faces.

I felt Holmes actions had a certain similarity to that of a pigeon; and male pigeons in particular seem to spend a lot of time sitting on branches and wondering why they don't support two of them.

I thought it was time I found a suitable userpic for the series ;)

Thank you very much. We take Holmes' behaviour for granted, but it must have seemed odd to all concerned at the time, so no wonder the pigeon was perplexed.

Thank you. This time it was a case of finding a scene I wished to illustrate and finding a suitable character to describe it. The female pigeon was happy to oblige.

I'm glad you liked the icon - I felt these tales should have something suitable.
