A/N: She is sitting on a windowsill, looking in.

This is the first time I’ve seen a man behave like this: bending down, picking things up over and over again.  He’s not eating them; he’s not a pigeon after all.  But there’s clearly a purpose in what he’s doing and he’s very methodical.  The others: like any male pigeon, standing round watching with a bemused expression on their faces.

So, even the pigeons are perplexed by his methods:-)

I like her comment about bemused looking male pigeons.

Just realised what your userpic is.

A plethora of animals in the the text of The Speckled Band but not so many here. I very much like the pigeon eye view of Sherlock Holmes!

LOL! What a lovely picture you painted in this 60 word essay! I can just see said pigeon perching, perplexed, outside the window wondering along with everyone else, what Holmes was up to :-) Great job!

Yes, but perplexed for a different reason than the others. "Why isn't the man eating what he's picking up?" Such a puzzle for her little bird brain :-)

Delightful as always. Imaginative (partly by necessity) and clever.

Kudos on the new icon, I recognized it instantly... :-)
