You know who'd like this oddity? Mr. Sherlock Holmes, that's who!

But the case is solved!

You know his ways. There's a singular importance here. It's not insignificant.

Case over. Forget this.

but you can't, can you. You know what to do

"Constable: make sure this note finds Mr. Sherlock Holmes at 221B Baker Street"

Canon Story: The Noble Bachelor

You desperate fool! You thought the answers to your problem lied with a commoner...AN AMERICAN! Now you know. With nobility comes blood, station, HONOR. To bind outside of this means certain disaster. No marriage, no means but yet a title, with social embarrassment. But she seems perfectly happy. I could stand no more time in her presence.

A/N: Poor Lord St. Simon. His worst fears of marrying someone under his station merely for money come to pass. His thoughts scold him as he declines dinner and leaves Baker Street.

The first one I loved. It sneaks up on you. You have to read through twice to get the full effect, and the full effect is fantastic.

Your Lestrade's instincts push him to do the right thing. I had the same line of thought with my 60 on this. Great minds think alike!

You have captured Lestrade's thought processes really well.
