A/N: Did Holmes ever get around to writing that monograph on malingering?

For all the things Holmes said and did that day and all his deceptions, I could forgive him everything except the use of four words.

If you love me.

I have seen Holmes manipulate and twist everything, even me. But to now know that he would use my feelings for him against me is the greatest horror I have encountered.

Mr Holmes must be up to something; he’s stuck in bed, looking truly very poorly, whenever Mrs Hudson comes into his room and yet whenever he knows she’s gone out he’s moving about and making notes.  It’s a strange way to solve a case though.

There, I knew he had a plan.  Yet again Mr Holmes has trapped his man.

A/N: Good and Evil cannot be separated. How do you rule the world if nobody loves you? In the end, a villain is just the hero of their own story.

Exotic epidemics feel far away for us Londoners. Most wouldn’t care about indigenous people, weakened from exploit on plantations, and I won’t deny that I was amongst the ignorant.
Yet Mercy prevails where she is least expected. Not just did her Angels pocket what riches panicking colonists had left behind, a good share was used to established the tribes’ freedom.

Total rush job this week. Sorry!

DYIN – Impaired Judgment

Three days without water – without liquid of any kind – reduced me to a level of idiocy I hope I never achieve again. My failure to anticipate Mrs Hudson; my abuse and reckless endangerment of my Watson; and worst, my utter forgetfulness of him in the twinned ecstatic rush of incipient victory and the sweet taste of moisture on my lips.
