Hello, friends! For this Sunday's canon reading and writing pleasure, we have The Solitary Cyclist. An avid cyclist finds herself being followed. Is it an admirer or someone with more sinister attentions in mind?
We'll be discussing the Granada TV adaptation of The Solitary Cyclist as well on Sunday. You can catch it on YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Video, and DVD.
Here are your completely optional prompts for SOLI. Feel free to use one, both, or neither.
Optional prompt #1: We always read back stories for the characters involved in the case. I'd like to see some more back stories for our heroes. Twenty-five years ago Violet Smith's uncle went to Africa. What were Holmes and Watson doing twenty-five years ago?
Optional prompt #2: A little taste of violence, perhaps?
Haven't joined us for 60 for 60 before? We'd love to have you jump in too! Everyone is welcome. You can learn more here (including the schedule), but the basics are easy: read the story, then write a 60 word ficlet inspired by it. That's it! It's fun, it's quick and you'll love reading both the wonderful classic canon and the terrific variety of fic we all come up with. Come have fun with us! Thanks, see you Sunday!
