“Mr. Holmes not with you?” asked my landlady. “No,” I smiled. “But I’ve left him somewhere safe.”
“Watson? Watson? Hulloooo? The door seems to be locked...”
“Ah, the Phillimore disappearance case… This was an excellent idea of yours, Watson—paying a visit to Cox and Co.!"
“Of course I’m enjoying discussing apiculture with you, Holmes. The hours are flying by.”

I had refrained from making any comment about the Family Herald, for I feared Holmes might recognise the style of one of the contributors as having similarities to a certain series of detective tales that were featured in the Strand magazine. But when Hopkins commented on the fact, although how he noticed I cannot imagine, Holmes merely winked at me.
