Sherlock60: The Story Continues... with "Shoscombe Old Place"

Well, we're hurtling towards Round 4 now, but before then we still have two to go for Round 3! ^^

This Sunday, 4th January, we'll be posting our 60 word ficlets for Shoscombe Old Place.

The head trainer for the Shoscombe stables comes to Holmes with a tale of strange happenings. Sir Robert Norberton is apparently in the grip of a nervous breakdown, and has fallen out with his widowed sister Beatrice. She in her turn has abruptly changed her habits. A stranger has been seen meeting Sir Robert at a "haunted" crypt, and a charred human bone has been found in the cellar furnace. Just what is going on at Shoscombe Old Place? Holmes and Watson go fishing for clues...

If you haven't tried 60 for 60 before, full information - including our schedule - can be found on our profile. But in essence: you read ACD's story and then you write a 60 word story inspired by it! You don't have to post a story every week - just join in whenever you feel like it.
