Warning: Hints, my dear boy, only hints.
Summary: Codes are words that say one thing but, taken out of their ostensible context, say something else.

“I felt, as I looked upon that supple figure…that it was indeed a strenuous day that awaited us.”

“An instant later, his feet were on my shoulders.”

“’It is the second most interesting object that I have seen in the North.’”

“Who will know their true context, save us two?” I said tenderly at my friend’s blush as he read.

Author's Notes: There is an inn here, the Red Bull… The people at the inn were alert all night…

They stayed one more night in Mackleton.

“Holmes!” cried Watson the next morning. “I’ve solved the Ferrers Documents case..!”

And Holmes listened in astonishment as the doctor explained. “Watson! That’s it!”

Watson beamed. “It’s all thanks to our celebration at the inn. I don’t know what’s in those Red Bull drinks but I didn’t close my eyes once last night!”

Title: On the Subject of Bicycles (as featured in the Marylebone Illustrated)
Author:thesmallhobbit
Rating: G

Whilst readers have grown accustomed to seeing officials from the Post Office using bicycles to deliver telegrams, it is not as widely known that our troops are now also using bicycles for carrying despatches.  In addition bicycles are used to transport carrier pigeons.  The birds become distressed when transported on horseback, but take more kindly to being moved by bicycle.
