…however, not being a woman, I could hardly bat my eyelids coquettishly, purse my lips in a suggestive smile, or make a show of arranging my gown to flash either ankle or décolletage and thus indicate how I would far rather we spent our day and our energies. There would be none of that until the perplexing puzzle was solved.
