Canon Story: The Stockbroker's Clerk
Title: Separation

Author's Notes: What happened so far: James Moriarty's youngest sister Mercy plants her spy Mary Morstan on Doctor Watson. Sherlock Holmes, backed by Mycroft, starts to investigate against the professor, while the eldest Moriarty sister Jane supports the Holmes brothers.
- I was looking for an explanation as to why SH was so sparse in contacting his best friend, apart from butthurt and wife-o-phobia.


“Why would your sister be interested in weakening Sherlock’s deductive strength?” Mycroft asked.
“Maybe she doesn’t like her opponents to grow too powerful, or maybe her plan to spy on him through Mary Morstan failed.” Jane said. “No matter what, we must make sure John Watson doesn’t learn anything about the actions against my brother.”
Mycroft nodded.
“We’re too close.”
