STOC – The Wrong Moustache

The case seemed promising, yet something was missing. I kept expecting to see another face, one with eyes alight with curiosity, his fuller, military moustache twitching with each change of mood.

It had been three months since I had seen him.

“We will detour on our way to the station, Mr. Pycroft. My associate might be helpful in your case…”

The case seemed promising, exactly what I wanted to relieve the tedium.

Yet something remained missing, incomplete. My client sat in the chair opposite, and I could not help seeing the other man who had often sat there, his eyes alight with curiosity, his fuller, military moustache twitching as he smiled or grew thoughtful.

It had been three months since I had seen him. And although time was pressing, I suddenly resolved not to let another hour pass.

“We will detour on our way to the station, Mr. Pycroft. I believe my associate might be substantially helpful in your case…”

Ah, I like this extrapolation very much! It certainly is a case featuring a lot of moustaches. This feels like a very natural addition.
