EMPT & FINA

Rating: PG
AN: Catching up on last week, too! Both from Lestrade's POV (I know he doesn't appear in FINA, but who cares?).
EMPT
I read the wire once, then again, not quite believing the words. Mr. Holmes . . . dead? It seemed impossible; the man had defeated some of the worst criminals in London, after all. But it truly sank in when I saw Dr. Watson for the first time afterwards. The pain in his eyes caused mine to sting with tears.
FINA
It was a relief to see with my own eyes that Mr. Holmes really was aliveāa relief both professionally and personally. While Dr. Watson had continued with his practice, and helping the Yard on occasion over the past three years, it was plain to see that he was now back in his element. Such a sight gladdens my heart.
