VEIL – Other Matters
“Why choose the Ronder matter for the warning? It’s not a case at all!”

“No, it is not,” my Watson agreed, his voice hoarse but wryly fond. “But it demonstrated that you are adept at reading hearts, and divining intent from actions.”

My throat tightened. “And the example of patient suffering?”

“Will continue.”

So frail, and yet still so brave.

The timing of this story leads to a number of questions. Holmes and Watson are quite old, very possibly separated (I wondered if this conversation is over the phone), and according to some chronologies, only a couple short years away from the end of Watson's life.

The window you give into their lives is always so intriguing. I inevitably crave more, which is the best thing a writer can do.

Thanks for your always amazing contributions to our comm, and for your kind help the next few weeks. It's above and beyond the call of duty, and it truly means so much to me. Thank you!
