SUSS – Fraternal Bonds
On the journey home, I reflected on Jack Ferguson and his murderous attempts on his baby brother.

My Watson, too, suffered cruelties at the hands of his elder brother, though he has never confided the details.

How fortunate I am in Mycroft! Our relationship might seem strange to some, but I have never doubted his loyalty – or ever feared him.

Nice to hear Holmes recognising the value of his brother, occasionally:-)

I think ACD canon shows that Holmes does have a great deal of respect for his brother, and vice-versa. It's an interesting relationship; I wish it had appeared in more than two stories.

He probably wasn't the easiest brother to grow up with, but I doubt he ever tried to hurt Sherlock - and he certainly had a good relationship with him in the canon stories.
