Hello, everyone! I'm still subbing in for
spacemutineer this week. For this Sunday's canon reading and writing pleasure, we have The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter. Something foul is afoot in the world of amateur fair play. Can Holmes help find the missing rugby player and spare the valiant Cambridge team an ignominious defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Oxford? ...or, oh, yeah, find the missing man before something else terrible happens? (Cyril Overton tried to sum up this story for me. He has his priorities.)
There is no Granada episode this week.
Here are your completely optional prompts for MISS. Feel free to use one, both, or neither.
Optional prompt #1: Another week, another story that includes rugby! This time, use one or more of the following rugby terms: scrum, pack, hack, punt, half.
Optional prompt #2: Speaking of university...how about including a reference to a character's time at uni?
Haven't joined us for 60 for 60 before? We'd love to have you jump in too! Everyone is welcome. You can learn more here (including the schedule), but the basics are easy: read the story, then write a 60 word ficlet inspired by it. That's it! It's fun, it's quick and you'll love reading both the wonderful classic canon and the terrific variety of fic we all come up with. Come have fun with us! Thanks, see you Sunday!
