The sounds of a struggle.
Watson dashed up the stairs—to find Holmes alone and smiling. He indicated the gramophone and its record.
“You know my habit of practical joking.”
Mrs Hudson sighed. More shouting and noise.
Then Watson shot past.
“Doctor!” she cried. “That was the gramophone?”
“Indeed,” laughed Watson. “I’ve just thrown it out of the window.”
