An intriguing answer to what the persecution entailed ^^ I agree with laurose8 - I think a cat must be involved. Is this perhaps some kind of protest against the behaviour of Harding's cat..?

I haven't yet worked out the finer details. The man was a tobacco millionaire - I have various vague thoughts.
