I suspect that when writing clerihews, since they are character based, there is less breadth of choice of subject matter, when we know very little about most characters. Especially ones whose names permit rhyming.

I can only bow in awe of both yours and scfrankles cleverness with the rhyming. Wonderfully done. And I loved that both yours clerihews reflect Gilchrist and Bannister's role in the mystery.

Frankles is clever, I just grab at anything that works. I'm not too sure what it says about us that have a tendency to write similar things (I never read hers till mine is posted.)
