Oh. Not ankle! Shoe! Rat was in shoe. Last night, from strength of odour.

Honestly, that's the bit I wonder about most when reading the story -- why did Trevor's dog bite Holmes? The real answer may just be "because Trevor did a crap job of training and controlling it", but I like the idea of mistaken identity better :-). Thanks!
