Wherever Holmes goes, crime follows him... It probably would have been better to just stay at Baker Street with Watson instructing Mrs. Hudson to keep all callers away from 221B ^^

There is no keeping Holmes from criminal puzzles. I have this vision of him walking through those prehistoric remnants and finding traces of crime even there amongst the barren rocks. :) Dr. Agar (and Dr. Watson) are fighting a useless battle here.

Can you imagine:

"Of course, Watson, the short one was condemned to death, but as you can see, it was the taller one who committed the crime."

"But how can you tell all this, Holmes?"

And Holmes would start talking about the relative placing of bones and flints and markings and Watson would mentally drift off and look at the flowers and watch the sea birds.
