Holmes needed to rest, so I instructed Mrs Hudson to deny all visitors.  I opened the window to allow some air to remove Holmes’ tobacco fumes, for he had been smoking incessantly.  I believed we would be safe from all disturbances, but had not bargained on a trained cormorant flying in the window.

Next time we shall go to Cornwall.

Ah, yes, the cormorant and the message - will we ever get the full story? ^__^ And poor Watson: it's just pointless to try and keep Holmes and crime apart.

If enough pressure is brought to bear on the doctor, and so long as Holmes is prepared to agree, then one day it will appear.
